If you are placing the crib in a larger room then you might benefit from double-drop sides that will allow you to lift and lower the sides from either direction.
Convertibles

The main considerations you need to ask yourself when purchasing convertibles is price and usage. Are you willing to spend the extra money and do you think that you will take full advantage of converting the crib into a bed.
Mattresses
When considering a mattress be sure to select a firm and tight-fitting mattress that will not roll from side to side, and will keep your infant from rolling. A good mattress will also have a height adjustment available to allow you to raise or lower the mattress so you can pick up your child more easily.
Prices
You can find great discount crib and bedding sets to put into your nursery at different prices. They range from middle to low price ranges. Keep in mind when purchasing cheap used cribs as you may get what you pay for. If you take this route make sure there are manufacturer labels, model numbers and an instruction manual.
